Success
Success. Is it defined as a newer car, bigger t.v. or larger mortgage? I think here is where it's important not to judge. But as for me, Brian Setencich, success can be defined as ....
I believe that my mom (who passed away at 47 yrs/old) was extremely successful. She wasn't a ceo, didn't hold a political office and wasn't on Forbes "wealthiest" list. But was she successful! My father, sister and me were all made to feel special and loved. Supported in our efforts by her loving, enthusiastic and "tough as a terrier" spirit. Just ask the check-out person at the grocery store or the elderly neighbors down the block or the stranger that happened to cross her path. That alive and loving spirit of hers would make anybody feel better because they had "run into her." She would help animals and people whenever she could; but you wouldn't know it. I found out sometimes, later, by coincidence, after the fact. She didn't need adulation, fanfare or praise. She had a deep faith, loving and alive spirit and certainly yes, peace of mind.
47 years. Not long. But oh how successful.
